What happened to the Sequoia “tree”?
In November 2014 the Sequoia Hospital Foundation transitioned from its historic teal “tree” logo to an exciting new identity that brings us in closer alignment with Sequoia Hospital, Dignity Health, our sister foundations and the spirit of humankindness.
The Sequoia tree isn’t going away, however. Originally designed more than 60 years ago for the then Sequoia Hospital District, over the decades the tree has served as the logo for Sequoia Hospital, the Sequoia Healthcare District and the Sequoia Hospital Foundation. The tree remains an important part of Sequoia’s history and our identity as a community. It can be found throughout the hospital campus and on signage in our newly opened pavilion. To many, it is a symbol of Sequoia’s legacy of exceptional care.
The Foundation’s new logo is instantly recognizable in the community as representing a vision for the future of care as defined by Dignity Health and as embodied by our physicians, staff and volunteers. Most importantly, it represents a spirit of humankindness symbolized by the generosity of those who support our life-saving mission through gifts to the Sequoia Hospital Foundation.
