Kennett Nursing Scholarship Reception:

The Sequoia Hospital Foundation was honored to celebrate the eight recipients of the 2017 Dr. William Kennett Memorial Nursing Scholarship awards at an evening reception on October 17, 2017.  The event, which also recognized the generous donors who made these awards possible, brought together leaders from throughout the community, the Foundation and hospital boards, Cañada College, San Francisco State University, alumni recipients and friends and family of this year’s recipients.

This year’s scholarships totaled $100,000 and brought the overall total to $952,000 granted to ninety awardees since 2005. Scholarship awards are granted in Dr. Kennett’s name or in the name of the individual award’s sponsor. Our 2017 recipients are Shea Williams (Dr. Kennett Memorial Scholarship), Britta Lindstrom (Dr. Kennett Memorial Scholarship), Nicole Allen Ramirez (Dr. Kennett Memorial Scholarship), Juliana DeBattista (Robert and Sue O’Donnell Scholarship), Jacqueline Jorgenson (Have a Ball Foundation Scholarship), Loan Huynh (Danford Foundation Scholarship), Arnold Valentino (Danford Foundation Scholarship) and Tara Brown (Pete Uccelli Memorial Scholarship).
