Dignity Health Sequoia Hospital has received a 5-Star Overall Hospital Rating—the highest possible—for the quality of our care from the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). This is an extraordinary recognition of the high-quality care provided to patients every day. Only 337 hospitals in the nation received a 5-Star Overall Hospital Rating (the national average is three out of five stars). The CMS Overall Hospital Rating is based on hospital inpatient and outpatient quality program data across up to 57 quality measures.

Recently, Sequoia was also one of only 3 percent of hospitals in the nation to receive both the Healthgrades 2017 Patient Safety Excellence Award™ and the 2017 Outstanding Patient Experience Award™.
